Analysis of the Value of Vernacular Architecture in the Planning of a Floating Resort on Lahe Island in Pohuwato Regency, Gorontalo
Abstract
The design of the Floating Resort area in Pohuwato Regency with a Vernacular Architectural Approach this idea is present. This island has biological potential where researchers want to collaborate between natural potential and local genius with vernacular concepts. In accordance with the above concept, the purpose of this study is to test the suitability of the resort with the vernacular. This research was conducted in Pohuwato Regency by collecting data related to perceptions of the results of domestic and foreign tourists on Lahe Island as well as direct observation in looking at the conditional areas. The form of this floating resort. The functions that are accommodated in the Pulau Lahe Tourism Facility Center are divided into tourism functions (information, education and recreation) and community functions (coaching facilities and community organizations). Vernacular architectural character to reveal the concept of local wisdom is done through the theory of the relation of function, form and meaning. The results showed that the Gorontalo stilt house architecture contains vernacular factors full of local wisdom values which can be seen from the form, spatial layout, construction structure and ornamentation. so that the Floating Resort forms an attractive appearance with the Vernacular Architectural style
