Abstract

Of the total land area of sustainable food agriculture in the four villages, only about 80% of the land is productive, and the rest is still unused land. This happens because farmers face several problems such as the threat of tidal waves, pest attacks, and acid water levels. In the 2021-2025 RPKP document, there are more plans for improving and procuring agricultural support infrastructure, while for sustainable food agriculture planning there is no RPKP document for 2021-2025. The importance of preparation in planning sustainable food agriculture in local government programs is so that sustainable food agriculture planning in the Rural Area of ​​Anjir Pasar District can be carried out under the sustainable food agriculture implementation policy that applies to regional suitability. Based on these conditions, this study aims to identify and formulate rural development strategies in the Anjir Pasar Rural Area in readiness for sustainable food agriculture planning. The prepared strategy is expected to be an input for the Regional Government, especially the existing institutions in the Anjir Pasar Rural Area in the preparation of the RPKP document and sustainable food agriculture planning to support the achievement of effective sustainable food agriculture productivity values ​​for the region. This research uses the triangulation analysis method with quantitative and qualitative approaches. The results of the triangulation analysis show that the role of institutions is an important point in the development of the Anjir Pasar Rural Area. The role of institutions is very large in developing agricultural areas and preparing for sustainable food agriculture planning in Rural Areas, such as revitalizing the road network, irrigation, and clean water; periodic checking of agricultural facilities; providing education to farmers; providing incentives to owners of agricultural land whose land is used as sustainable food agriculture in the form of reducing the value of PBB, fulfilling the development and procurement of irrigation infrastructure and farming market, providing assistance for the cost of production facilities and infrastructure from all costs of needs, and providing subsidies for maintenance costs; provide capital assistance in the form of compensation in the event of pest attacks, natural disasters, and others. The amount of compensation given is at least equal to the production costs that have been incurred by the farmer; and conduct counseling and work programs related to comprehensive agricultural and sustainable food agriculture development in rural areas.
